TRITON GROUP MAKES IT A HAT TRICK

Aberdeen-based Triton Group announced today that it has acquired Lowestoft company UK Project Support Limited (UKPS) and its sister company Subco for an undisclosed sum.

A specialist personnel service company, UKPS adds a new dimension to Triton Group which was formed to create a group fo companies focused on providing state-of-the-art remote intervention and control technologies and services.  Its sister company, Subco is a specialist in the rental of ROV equipment.

Triton Group CEO, Martin Anderson says: "With key skills in short supply to the global subsea indsutry, the acquisition of UKPS adds an additional string to our bow.  Not only do we provide a range of the most advanced ROV products in the world, we can now provide the skilled pilots and technicians to operate them.

TGH, via its subsidiary PSS, has invested heavily in ROV personnel training systems and programms and this will complement the UKPS offering.

"Equally, the rental of underwater equipment is becoming an increasing solution to meeting the demand for assets and Subco's experience in the rental business expands the range of commercial models we can offer."

"The addition of UKPS and Subco are key elements of our strategy to provide remote intervention equipment with complementary services."

Established in 1985, UKPS is an independent, privately owned personnel services company providing personnel to the subsea oil and gas construction industry.  UKPS owner, Chris Kemp, will remain with the business and become a shareholder of Triton Group.  Between them, UKPS and Subco have combined revenues of £16 million and employ approximately 20 people.  However UKPS has developed one of the biggest databases of ROV, Survey and other technical personnel disciplines available to the subsea sector.

Chris Kemp said " I am delgihted that UKPS and Subco have joined Triton Group.  There are clear benefits - both for the ongoing growth and development of the two companies and in the extent and breadth of services we are able to offer clients and personnel."

Triton Group is backed by Houston-based private equity company, SCF Partners and supported by Aberdeen's structured finance team at the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS).

This latest deal follows the group's acquisition of Perry Slingsby Systems (PSS), the world's leading supplier of remotely operated technologies to the offshore industry and Sub-Atlantic, a market leader in the design and manufacture of small to medium sized electric ROV systems and ROV system components.

Mr Anderson adds: "This third deal underlines Triton's exciting and ambitious growth strategy to become a world leader in technology and services to the international oil and gas industry.  As part of Triton Group with its global presence and reach, UKPS and Subco will, through our international infrastructure, have access to global opportunities and further expansion."
